So wonderful to have wonderful people visit here!

Elder and Sister Soares are here and he spoke with all the missionaries Saturday morning. Sister Soares was not feeling well, so she didn't come. We had a picture taken with him and we got to personally meet him and shake his hand. The meeting was wonderful!  Sunday evening we went to a devotional over at BYUH and they both spoke to us. The place was packed with students and missionaries. What a treat! 

January 16th-22nd

When missionaries come they're made an outfit to wear when they work at the PCC doing the luaus and the "Ask Me" program. We've been here 3 months and finally got ours.  The white outfits we have are ones that were already made that they let us use. At the end of our mission we get to choose whether we want the one they lent us or the one they made us to take home.  The "ask me"  program is new and we just try to help patrons with any questions they might have about the PCC or direct them to different locations. This is done in the evenings. 

                            We worked with this cute girl last night (and we have other times too)                            She works at the luau's and she's a BYU student.

This is Scott and he is in our Ward and he plays every night at the luau and has for years.

WE'VE NOW BEEN HERE FOR 3 MONTHS. TIME IS FLYING BY AND WE ARE LOVING IT! 

January 9th-15th

Met this sweet lady who is friends with friends of ours and Ivin's. Small world!

              Brent and this young man/BYUH students, had their first piano lesson together.                                                                        They helped each other through lesson 1.

January 2nd-8th

Waimea Falls

Such a fun day!

Spent the day with these wonderful friends at Waimea. Amazingly beautiful place!

So happy to see this sweet friend from our ward back home!

Saw this sign while driving on our town run this week! Made us think of our lives back in Salt lake and the people we love there! 

                             Decided to do face masks tonight. 🤣 Hoping to look younger! Lol

                Brent and Sid built this today. It lays down and you put plants on top. Good job guys! 

Another very raining day. 2nd time since we've been here that it has turned this grassy park next to us into a little lake. 🌧️

Bought this area rug so we don't slip and fall. We have tile and we have slipped, but not fallen, when we've come in and it's been wet outside. This should help! 

We love the PCC! 

December 26th-January 1st

                             Laie wins for most fireworks we have ever seen! Went on for hours.                                   Looking forward to 2023 and the memories we'll make! 

We received all these family pictures/cards for Christmas.❤️ We love looking at them everyday! (Wish the whole family was on there! Maybe more will come.) We LOVE this time of year! We're so grateful for our family and friends and Heavenly Father and Jesus and the Temple and being here on this Mission! We're so blessed!❤️

A very common sight in Hawaii is a hen gathering her chicks. It is such a visual for us of our Savior as He invites us to be gathered. Studying His words and example and letting them improve our words and behavior will help us be gathered by Him.

Our son Michael's company puts in the security systems and we finally saw one at Home Depot and Lowes during our town run this week.
