Time: 8:45 am* - 10:00 am
Venue: Island village of Aotearoa
* At 8:45 am, the official welcome protocol (for all those who are new to PCC since last year July) will commence at the entrance to the village). Please arrive by 8:30 am. The welcome will conclude inside the meeting house.
Theme: “Matariki KΔinga Hokia” (Matariki Calls You Home)
Traditionally, Matariki (Pleiades cluster) heralded a time for ‘being together at home’ - reflecting on the past and those who have passed on; celebrating, feasting, and spending time with family and friends; and looking forward to the promise of the new year.
A lot of famous people have visited the PCC over the years. In 1966, the famous singer Elvis, spent a week at the Polynesian Cultural Center, filming his movie
Paradise, Hawaiian Style. He even transposed the center’s signature song,
Bula Laie, into a song used in his production,
Drums of the Island. He would later return for another visit.

My friend came along and took a picture of me working at the PCC. I know, pretty funny looking! π€£
After we got done working over at the PCC this morning we came back to the farm and trimmed palms.
Love this statue!
These guys (& Brent) were called up to sing along with the song
"Don't worry be Happy" πΆ They did great!
In the summer Wards camp across the street from us and they're there for a week. This week our Ward is there, so we went over on Monday night for FHE
We received our new PCC badges today, they're the ones on the bottom. Love that it says Senior Missionary now!
