July 17th-23rd

We sang 5 songs. 2 1/2 hours of beautiful music by many other singers also! 🩷
Said goodbye to this sweet family who are moving to Utah. They made us feel                 very welcome in the Ward!
Then went over to the PCC and had our favorite ice cream. The girl at the register just happens to be Coles daughter. Fun to meet her, and she is buying our car when we leave.
Randomly ran into this cute family over at Turtle Bay. They are our son Nicholas' friends.
We went to the Temple this morning.
We're so happy this beautiful fountain at the Visitors Center is working again!
Another luncheon today (Friday) at the Farm for Bonnie and Carlos.

Yummy luncheon for Mary Jane (Thursday). It was also for Elder and Sister Singleton who have been working at the Warehouse also, but have been resigned to the Visitor Center.                                      So many came. Fun!
Mary Jane is moving to the Mainland with her family. She will be missed! She's been the secretary in the Warehouse.

Beautiful night sky!
We went over to the beach at Turtle Bay and had dinner with our friends Wednesday evening. Pizza, breadsticks, salad, drinks and brownies. 🩷🌴🩷
Sister Bonnie Torres and her husband Elder Carlos Torres. Had a luncheon today(Wednesday) for them as they are leaving soon. Bonnie is in the Nursery/Farm with us and Carlos is an IT man. His department planned the event.  They've been here for 23 months. They will be missed!
We put flowers/plants around this amazing carved statue that's in the Welcome Center in hopes that kids will stay off it. 🤞
I love these devotionals they're always so spiritual and uplifting!
These are cookie cutters that Bonnie gave us today. Her son made them. So fun!
It's now been 9 months since we left for our mission.

July 10th-16th

        So fun!
Afterwards we went to Kaneohe with three other couples and had lunch in the mall and then played 18 holes of glow in the dark miniature golf. (Inside the mall)

Here's a couple of pictures that I took during the devotional. It was really great!
President Grace spoke at the Devotional.       He's from New Zealand. (Aotearoa)

On behalf of our team at the Islands of Aotearoa, we are pleased to invite you to attend the Annual Aotearoa Islands Devotional.
Date: Saturday, 15 July 2023
Time: 8:45 am* - 10:00 am
Venue: Island village of Aotearoa
* At 8:45 am, the official welcome protocol (for all those who are new to PCC since last year July) will commence at the entrance to the village). Please arrive by 8:30 am. The welcome will conclude inside the meeting house.
Theme: “Matariki Kāinga Hokia” (Matariki Calls You Home)
Traditionally, Matariki (Pleiades cluster) heralded a time for ‘being together at home’ - reflecting on the past and those who have passed on; celebrating, feasting, and spending time with family and friends; and looking forward to the promise of the new year.
A lot of famous people have visited the PCC over the years. In 1966, the famous singer Elvis, spent a week at the Polynesian Cultural Center, filming his movie Paradise, Hawaiian Style. He even transposed the center’s signature song, Bula Laie, into a song used in his production, Drums of the Island. He would later return for another visit.

My friend came along and took a picture of me working at the PCC. I know, pretty funny looking! 🤣
After we got done working over at the PCC this morning we came back to the farm and trimmed palms.
   Love this statue!
These guys (& Brent) were called up to sing along with the song
"Don't worry be Happy" 🎶 They did great!
In the summer Wards camp across the street from us and they're there for a week.                                           This week our Ward is there, so we went over on Monday night for FHE

We received our new PCC badges today, they're the ones on the bottom.                                                                            Love that it says Senior Missionary now!
.                                                                  Monday morning.

They're putting leis on those going into the luau. We had a fun evening helping                                  out.🌴
               Turtle Bay is beautiful! 🩷
We're sitting in a very fun chair!
Fun watching surfers & also saw some                                  friends.
We then went to Turtle Bay.
On Saturday we saw this seal                                  Hau'ula Beach.
Met this sweet lady on our town run. Her name is Mere'. She gave us $$ and just                 was so excited to meet us.
Fun at the PCC. We helped with a bounce house in the afternoon. Had dinner with 4 other Missionaries. Listened to a concert and watched a short fireworks show. They had to cut it short because of technical difficulties. Thousands came.
                          Pretty fun!
