November 21st-November 27th

Put up our little Christmas tree. ๐ŸŒฒ
Visitor Center. ❤️๐ŸŒฒ❤️
Another room in the Visitor Center.
Looking inside the Visitor Center from outside.
Our boss Mi'i is showing us how to cut up sugar cane. We all tried some.                                                                          (It was ok, but didn't really taste like sugar.)
We were at the PCC in this picture over by the big canoe named "Losepa" (this is Hawaiian for Joseph)
This morning some of us from "the farm" came over and added plants around it because President Eyring was coming and we wanted it to look extra nice!
President Eyring looking at the canoe.
President Eyring riding around the PCC. So fun we got to see him! ❤️
This is another picture of the canoe at the PCC. It's a double hull canoe. It's a replica of the early canoes Polynesians used to first get to Hawaii centuries ago.
Tuesday was our town run and we had 13 stops. Our van was packed! I wanted to take a picture of these cute ukuleles that we picked up.
These three are new missionary's. They now work with us at the farm.
This cute girl comes on Wednesdays and helps us.

Today is our Anniversary! ๐Ÿงก
We helped at the farm and then went and picked up these beautiful poinsettias for the PCC. We were supposed to pick them up yesterday on our town run, but our van was too full, so we went this morning!
Drove over to Ted's Bakery and got garlic shrimp and a piece of pie for our anniversary dinner! We're so blessed! We sure love each other and will forever! ❤️
Had a big gathering with a lot of other Missionaries! ๐Ÿฆƒ Missing my family! ๐Ÿงก Yummy food! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Tonight, Thanksgiving, we went over to the BYUH campus to the Ballroom and had a wonderful program representing the different Islands and honoring the early Pioneer Missionaries of the Pacific. Told us some history, showed us some pictures, and sang and danced for us. They said they knew we were missing our families and wanted to do this for us. It was awesome! ๐Ÿงก                                   (Here's some pictures we took.)
This is a picture of some high school football fans lining the streets and cheering their team on is they go to play for the State championship tonight.   Our neighbors put up these flags by our apartment.
Tahiti-They cooked sweet potatoes in the ground and gave us each a taste. We spent a little time at the PCC today. We've been there many times now, but each time we've seen new things. Love it!
Also danced for us.
The musicians.
Amazing Christmas concert Saturday night at BYUH!
Another wonderful week in Paradise! We work about 40 hours a week, and it can be exhausting, (because we're old๐Ÿ˜˜), but we have lots of free time to have fun and to enjoy this beautiful place! ๐ŸŒด

November 14th-20th

Another wonderful, busy and fun week in beautiful Hawaii!
Sister Gonzalas' has  a new companion, Sister Jensen. (She's the blonde) She just happens to be the niece of a couple in our Ward back home in Ivins. Small world!
We watched a Ukulele class.
Dinner with these missionaries afterwards. ๐Ÿ˜‹
Luau
Removing the pig from the pit to the serving area to cut up and serve.
Entrance to the luau where these BYUH students greeted the guests and later performed on the luau stage.
Volunteered again at a luau. Welcoming guests, answering questions, and giving directions.
Ran into these two cute sisters. The one on the end was in the MTC with us. The sister next to me was in our Ward, but got transferred.
Temple glowing at sunrise.
I love rainbows!
Fun at the beach
A lot of missionaries helping get the Visitor Center decorated for Christmas.๐ŸŒฒ I'll take another picture                                                                      when it's all done.
This is a picture from the temple looking down towards the beach.
Went to the temple on Friday night. Our first time since we got here.❤️
Brents doctor called Wednesday afternoon and told us to go to the ER and get checked out because he needed to have a cardioversion because his he was in AFib and his heart rate was way too high. (He has a lot of AFib!)  So we drove an hour to Honolulu to the Queens Hospital and they ran a lot of tests. Then the doctor comes in and said "this test shows your having a heart attack, are you in any pain?" Brent says no. Then he says, "then I don't think you are and your AFib has stopped, so we don't need to do a cardioversion." Good news! The doctor asked if he drank alcohol or caffeinated drinks, and he said yes to caffeinated drinks, and he made him promise to never ever drink caffeinated drinks again!! ๐Ÿ˜ All is well!
Monday night we had dinner with all the new missionaries that flew in that day. Then we went to the visitor center and watched a movie about how the PCC got started. It was awesome! Then we went outside and took a picture with everyone. (We're the third couple from the right.) We got to go because when we came, President Bassett was gone for a few days. Transfer are every 6 weeks and there's usually a big group that come at a time, but we came by ourselves. They had to change our arrival day because they didn't have an apartment for us yet. Anyways,  it was really fun!
Took pictures in front of the Temple last Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. We are on the back row, kinda                                                                        in the middle.
